When Circle The Earth emerged onto the music scene, their eclectic mix of backgrounds and influences set them apart. As the band gears up for their next big release, their core message remains clear: positivity and cultural inclusion through the universal language of music.

From Scientist to Musician: Michael Mcbay’s Vision

The brainchild of Michael Mcbay, a former scientist turned musician, Circle The Earth was born from a desire to merge his scientific upbringing with emotional expression. “I started Circle The Earth with the idea of creating something beautiful,” Mike explains. “Music that embodies light, cultural inclusion, and women’s rights.”

Raised in an academically inclined family, Mike found solace and self-expression through music, influenced by the iconic Jimi Hendrix. “Hendrix’s music spoke to me in ways science couldn’t. It became my bridge between emotional expression and scientific understanding.”

A Lineup of Talent

This diverse background is mirrored in the band’s lineup. The group includes lead guitarist Kazuki from Japan, Sandro Feliciano, a Brazilian-American, on Drums, Sandy Chao Wang from Taiwan on keyboards, and lead vocals from Aviva Scott, who hails from Los Angeles with German and Black heritage. Mike himself brings a blend of Black, Jewish, American Indian, and Irish roots. “We’re circling the Earth to inspire and provide an uplifting, positive experience,” Aviva says.

The band’s sound, described by Mike as “dynamic” and “melodic,” integrates pop, rock, and funk elements. Their music is a vibrant tapestry woven from their global experiences. “We don’t intentionally mix styles,” Feliciano notes. “It just comes out naturally because of our diverse backgrounds.”

Aviva Scott: A Vocalist with Diverse Influences

Aviva, the powerhouse vocalist, draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Christina Aguilera. “I mash up influences from various genres to create something that feels right for me,” she says.

As for their single, “Stuck In The Middle,” released in mid-September, it’s a fresh addition to their musical journey. Lead singer Aviva says the track is about “a woman with a lot of options.”

A Message of Unity Through Music

The band is not just about making music but about fostering connections and celebrating diversity. Their upcoming tour will take them to Japan and Europe, further spreading their message of unity and joy through music.

Circle The Earth’s ability to blend their diverse backgrounds into a cohesive and uplifting sound sets them apart. Their music heals and brings people together, proving that in the vast genre of global music, messages of positivity and inclusion resonate loudly and clearly.
